CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Protesters say that they plan to attend Monday night's city council meeting to request the resignations of Charlotte's mayor and police chief.
The meeting will be held Monday night at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg government center from 6:30pm to 10pm.
Protesters have told NBC Charlotte that they're very unhappy with how Mayor Jennifer Roberts and CMPD Chief Kerr Putney have handled both the investigation of Keith Lamont Scott's fatal police shooting as well as the subsequent protesting. (continue reading on wcnc.com)

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Reuters) – Many were surprised when Nadine Collier stood in a South Carolina courtroom a year ago and said she forgave the young white man who had just killed her mother and eight other black churchgoers in a racially motivated attack.
Collier’s sister, the Reverend Sharon Risher, recalls wondering how she could so readily absolve Dylann Roof, 22, the man accused of opening fire during a Bible study on June 17, 2015, at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston. (read more)
